COOKING & PREPARATION:
1. Pan-Frying:
Thawing: Ideally, thaw in the refrigerator overnight. You can also cook directly from frozen.
Heating: Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
Cooking:
For streaky bacon: Lay the frozen strips in the skillet. As they start to cook, gently separate the slices with a spatula. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until crispy.
For back bacon: Place the strips in the skillet and cook for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until heated through and lightly browned.
2. Oven Baking:
Preheat: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange: Lay frozen bacon strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. A wire rack can help with even cooking.
Bake:
For streaky bacon, bake for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
For back bacon, bake for about 15-20 minutes until heated through and lightly crispy.
3. Microwave:
Layering: Place frozen bacon strips between layers of paper towels on a microwave-safe plate.
Cooking: Microwave on high for 4-6 minutes, checking frequently for doneness. Adjust time based on your microwave’s wattage.
Tips:
Always monitor the bacon to prevent burning.
After cooking, drain excess fat on paper towels for added crispiness.
