COOKING & PREPARATION:
1. Preheat the Cooking Equipment:
• Preheat your grill, stovetop grill pan, or broiler to medium-high heat. If using a grill or grill pan, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
2. Cook the Chicken Yakitori Skewers:
• For Grill or Grill Pan: Place the frozen Chicken Yakitori skewers on the preheated grill or grill pan. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and has a slightly charred exterior.
• For Broiler: Arrange the frozen Chicken Yakitori skewers on a baking sheet lined with aluminium foil. Place the baking sheet on the upper rack of the oven, under the preheated broiler. Broil for about 4-5 minutes per side, until the chicken is fully cooked and has a slightly charred exterior.
3. Check for Doneness:
• To ensure the Chicken Yakitori is fully cooked, check the internal temperature of the chicken using a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
4. Glaze (Optional):
• If you prefer a saucier Chicken Yakitori, you can baste the skewers with additional Yakitori sauce during the last few minutes of cooking. Baste and turn the skewers until the sauce caramelizes slightly and coats the chicken evenly.
5. Serve and Enjoy:
• Once the Chicken Yakitori skewers are fully cooked and glazed (if desired), remove them from the heat source.
• Serve the warm and flavourful skewers with steamed rice, a side of vegetables, or alongside other Japanese-inspired dishes.
